Journey to catch them all — Episode (3)
Hello again, Thanks for your time.

I’m writing this blog post while standing at a convention. For context, I’m currently pursuing my MSc., and a tedious part of it involves presenting your work to reviewers. Unfortunately, that also means a lot of waiting before it’s your turn to present.
I hate waiting, it feels like standing still allowing time/life to catch up to you.
I have been in the MSc process for 4 years now, while I enjoyed them so much, wrapping it up is like stopping a runaway train and worst part is towards the end there is a lot at stake with little margin of error.
I have been at university countless times however I never took a stroll care-free there because there is always something that needs to be done whether it’s your job, your degree or simply getting back home to relax.
I think something that they don’t tell you about adulting is that if you don’t do the effort to look at things, they will invisibly pass by.
So, while waiting today, I decided that screw it, I will take my garden stroll now!
I walked around for 10 minutes, though stress kept building — what if my turn came while I was away😨? What if I got poor reviews for not being at close to my poster😥? But then I thought,
I’ve waited two hours. They can wait ten minutes.
Luckily there is currently the Unova event in PokemonGo, and I was lucky
to run into Dewott which i needed for the Dex.
I caught him, turned off the phone and walked around for 10 more minutes.
So today we have a grand total of … 1 new entry!

Now that the anarchy inside me had settled down 😁, I started walking back to the auditorium, convinced I had completely failed the poster presentation. But yeah… nothing major happened — no one had even come yet.
Thanks to this little trip, I finally took a walk in the gardens, saw real-life Pokémon — ugh, I mean birds — and updated my Dex. Maybe later, I can return for a long relaxing garden stroll. But for now, let’s appreciate that life moves slowly, and that waiting is something that needs to happen, so don’t spend that waiting time anxiously.
