Journey to catch them all — Episode (4)
Thanks for tuning back in.
I.HATE.FISH
I really hate fish. I really do.
What bothers me most is that they have this extra degree of motion — they can just go up or down whenever they want. Their world allows it, but ours doesn’t! It feels unfair.
And deep-sea creatures? They’re just ugly by default. You know what I am always missing in my Dex? Fish Pokémon.
You know what’s even worse! My first shiny ever was a caught by mistake ... The annoying Veluza invading my privacy and crashing into me!
The only fish I tolerate (even like) is Magikarp.

The Exception
I came to like it when I got stuck on the “Evolve Magikarp” mission in Pokémon GO. I live far from the sea — no lakes, no rivers, not even a pool 😀. But I really wanted Mew. The only option? Walking with Magikarp to collect all 400 candies.
To give you some perspective, the first Magikarp I caught came when I took a work trip to the USA. not a single shore in Egypt had one.
We walked together for at least (and believe me this is real) around 270km.
Magikarp holds a special place in my heart because it got me out of the house ALOT. It led to countless spontaneous date nights, wandering around, discovering cool new spots, and even road-tripping to random governorates in Egypt — because, well, they have shores, and where there’s water, there might be a Magikarp (I never caught one in three shores!!)
It also got me making it a habit of walking at least 4KM daily.
Evolving it was an end of an era; however, he is still around, I transferred him into Pokémon Shield, and he is part of the main team now!

Updates to the Dex
i didn’t have much time to play, what I did was transfer some from PokemonGO to Home, Total of 4 pokemon today.
- Gabite
- Pignite
- Vanillish (what an ugly pokemon)
- Blitzle
I really wish i could transfer everything i need from PokemonGO, but this would require sorting through 700 Pokémon.. so yeah not now 😁
